Three nights ago, husband had a dream: His wife brought home three ponies, to keep as pets. Last night I had a dream: I got one big brown horse home..as a pet. He even had a name. Sikandar!
Now only job left for me is to find a place to keep my little pets comfortable in our second floor 908 sqft two bedroom apartment. hen..heh!

And as we are on pets...Little birdies are gracing our balcony these days with their presence. They are there all day chirping and eating sunflower seeds..and it is absolutely fun to watch them. Well, they seem to be scared of camera (and me) so I am not  going to try taking their pic anymore..Here is the only one to remember by :)

Till I see you next,

Stay fun,
D

I never heard your voice in hymns nor I ever saw your face in idols.I tried...really really tried, but I never felt your presence in temples. I wanted to believe in your miraculous mythological stories, but those always stirred more questions than answers.

But I know you exist and you are there...somewhere,

Because I have seen your glimpses on the face of a sleeping child,  heard your voice in tranquility.I witness your miracles when I feel the life growing inside my womb. I have sensed your magnanimity in vastness of ocean, in tenderness of a flower, in colors of spring, in taste of a fruit, in immenseness of this universe, in circle of life and most of all in LOVE.

Yes, I know you exist and you are here...right here!!

And YOU....ALL OF YOU first time Mommy-to-bes', You think finding name for your child is most difficult task?  Wait and see when it is time to find name for your second. Because the only name you had singled out last time is also now taken. Grrrrrrr!!

Sincerely,
experienced-Mommy-of-one-and-expecting-mommy-of-second. *superior senior look*

On long drive to office and radio as my sole companion I hear this ad for an after school daycare very often which goes something like,  "Hi I am three year old *daycare name* kid. After my preschool, I learn phonics, mathematics, robotics, Spanish, arts and science in *daycare name* "
Shouldn't a three year old take a nap, play outdoors with friends, ride tricycle, invent silly games, imagine silly-er stories after spending half-a-day in preschool? I mean Robotics? For a 3 year old? Seriously?
Apparently, this after school childcare facility is getting  popular in my area so either we as a society are focusing more on bringing up very smart machines or this Mamma is simply outdated :|

One day your preschooler follows you everywhere with a "newspaper" to read because he is 'concerned' about baby's well being. You knuckle down under brotherly love and read the torn manual of baby bathtub under his watchful eyes. He even confirms that you read instructions on back of page which are in err..Spanish.

And very next day, your precious comes home crying in pain (due to mouth ulcers) and blames everything wrong on the baby...Baby who is still 5 months away from making his/her appearance in the world.

Yeah, life is good !

Happy new year to all you beautiful people. May this year gives you enough reasons to bring smiles on loved ones and your own smile never fades away.

Much love,
D
