Every year, we get away with excuses like, "we couldn't find the danda" or "I don't have new saree" but never once we gave it a try. Truth is, we both are not very religious and this day doesn't hold any importance for us..

But this year is different. We have my parents-in-laws with us and this day means a lot to them ..So for their precious smiles, we came up with our VERY OWN FIRST GUDHI.
It is rather hilariously resting on my camera tripod stand and has a bright blue plastic glass crown . But hey..its the effort that counts :)

Wish you a very happy Gudhi padwa*. May this year gives you many opportunities to bring smile on faces of your loved ones and may your own smile never leaves you.

Happy new year!
Disha

P.S: Gudhi Padwa is new year's day for Maharashtrian.

  6. I love to celebrate festivals not foe the religious thing; but it is one way to relive those memories. I want to keep up those traditions. and in this unknown country my own ways to touch base roots and be one happy family. :-)
